Until further notice, Gardner Chip Mill will not be accepting any hardwood deliveries effective today, January 31/25. They apologize for the inconvenience and understanding as they work through some market and inventory related issues.
AV Nackawic will be closed for deliveries today, Thursday, Jan. 23/25, from 1pm - 3pm.
We will be accepting daily biomass deliveries at Jolly Farmer starting again on January 20th, 2025 for self unloaders only until further notice.
Straight trailers please call ahead to make an appointment for a day our yard loader is running and operator is available.
Specs, pricing , hours, and other details listed below:
Accepting all species of wood for biomass fuel (max 10% cedar in load) ranging from 10 ft to 26 ft long. No tree length. Max butt size is 36”, no minimum size. Mixed species loads are ok as it's all being chipped and stockpiled together.
Old, rotted, crumbling wood will be refused. Hollow butts are ok as long as there is good wood around the hollow portion and in the rest of the tree.
Hours for self unloaders are Monday to Friday 7 am to 5 pm. Straight trailers must call ahead. NO WEEKEND DELIVERIES.

The YSC Fredericton office will continue to remain closed until 12:00 noon today.

Due to the winter storm conditions, the YSC Fredericton office is delaying opening until 10:00am.
Conditions will be re-evaluated at that time, and a further update will be posted.

Please be advised that there will not be a loader available to unload trucks at Doaktown tomorrow morning, January 9th. Our loader will be down for regular maintenance.
Also on Tuesday, January 14th there will be no loader on our day shift. We have a welder scheduled for repairs for the day.
Self-loaders are welcome to deliver.
Effective immediately, Devon Lumber's scales will be down for the remainder of the winter. They will have to stop buying TL Cedar; however, if a producer has some already prepared, they have advised they can estimate it.
They are looking for 8' Cedar Logs, and have also advised they will pay $90/cord (before levy) for Softwood Pulp going forward for the winter.

Please be advised that there will be no loaders available to unload trucks at Chipman starting at 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm 0n Friday, January 10th.
This will allow for a meeting with all of the loader operators.

Please be advised that we need to know ahead of time if you are bringing in softwood. The specs are extremely rigid and we are not set on a price. It is important to know exactly what is coming in so that we can let you know on a price. This will probably continue until spring until the markets settle down a bit.
Over the past couple of weeks, we have had a few loads of Mixed Hardwood Pulpwood show up at Sussex. We did accept these loads even though we are not currently buying Mixed Hardwood Pulpwood.
Going forward, we will not be accepting loads of Mixed Hardwood Pulpwood.
We are accepting loads of pure Birch Pulpwood and pure Maple Pulpwood.
Beginning Monday, December 9, Louisiana Pacific in Houlton will be taking wood again. They are open from 6am Monday morning until 6pm Friday nights, and are closed on the weekends.
8' Aspen Pulp is US$57/ton (US$55.75/ton after levy).
